improvement to training

this is an ongoing discussion between JC, TW and me for like 3-4 months liao. til nw, there has being no improvement coz all 3 of us are quite buz with our own commitments lah, so now i put up n ask for all clts' comments lor.

1) REDUCE NO. OF AWOLS -- As u all knoe, the no. of awols even if small if considered quite serious in any unit esp. barracudas. So how to reduce awols? motivate cadets to come for our trainings by making trainings more fun n interesting how?

Proposed solution: Proposing replacing standard training with CIP contributions, out-of-sch training. Frequency would most likely be once a month and strength with be 1 part involved at anytime. Thus even if 1 part is out of the school trg at any time, usual training will still go on. Aim: So that cadets gain more exposure and make training mroe interesting and fun. E.g of out-of-sch training are like paint-balling(pending), IMT practice at SAFRA areas(pending).
Cadets also find it boring if we do the standard training programme like PT den lecture den drills everytime. So we have considered replacing lecture time with someting more meaningful than jus games itself..E.g: akkido or TKD, art of self-defense, can be taught once in a while to make training more interesting. Instructors in this case can be our own clts or ex-NCC members like Kok Yan Rong.

This is the current extent of our discussion now, no doubt there are mani loopholes somewhere, so pls comment.
