POINTS FROM CLT Forum 20 AUG 2005
SN Issues Remarks
1 INFORMAL PUNISHMENT
Commandant pointed out that no corporate punishment should be issued on cadets. Units should refer the case to the School to take action on their students.
CLTs felt that corporate punishment is necessary to ensure discipline and gets things done.
HQ NCC is looking to setting up new guidelines on discipline.
2 NCC CCA IN ITE/JC/POLY
CLTs felt that their individual school should recognize their participation in NCC activities.
There should be a person in-charge of the NCC CCA in the ITE/JC/POLY, so that they can obtain permission to attend NCC activities.
3 FRATERNIZATION ISSUES
Commandant strictly forbids fraternization between cadets/CLTs and HQ staff/NSF in or outside campus. Interaction outside of NCC activities is also not allowed.
Personal data(e.g. handphone nos.) needs to be used correctly and for official communication only. There has been a case where SMS was used inappropriately.
4 RETURN OF SERIVICE
