NCC training on FRIDAY the 13th...haha

today's training was quite smooth, but it started bad. strength of parts B-28,C-17(10 went to HQ as guides), D-17(+/-). the plam for the training was that 10 part Cs were to bring the interested sec 1s to HQ for an open hse while the remaiming part B,C and Ds will be carrying out the training in skl. the plan for the training is as following :

1500hrs B+C [PT challenge]
1700hrs B+C [Drills]
1815hrs All [Dismissal]

the csm couldnt find the pace stick 10 mins before the start of the training, thus everything was dragged a little. the training offically starts at 1445hrs and ended at 1815hrs. the first activity was the PT challenge. the cadets went through a series of PT stations eg pull up, sit-up, dips, shuttle run... just to name a few. there was a total of 7 stations. there will be prizes(bottles of drinks to be given out in the next training) given out to the few individuals who held the records of each stations and the failures will be asked to join extra physical trainings on other skling days. the challenge was too long, and it dragged on till 1700hrs(a bit too long) the exercise was goot as it was something frsh for the cadets, but the part Ds had no form of recording down the the scores and a proper system to record the cadet's results so as to properly assest them. the cadets were given rest times during each station, and health taken care of. But 5 cadets form both the parts reported sick. some due to lack of meal, and some due to overstrain of muscles. this aspect of safety have to take note. the drills were not bad. partly because it was a rather short session and the cadets were much motivated, this their performance showed mark improvements. durng drills, we also had a part C cadet Gensen Yap to take charge of the part B for drills. it seems that most of the cadets are unfamilar with the full commands of stationary drills and proper procedures to be taken note by the ICs(pt to take note). the drills ended at 1750hrs and AAR was conducted by specs to the part B and the Clts to he part Cs. we had a short talk with the few part Cs and told them to motivate the others to come back for training. the pace stick is found(left in the Log rm, in some corner, i think it feww off from the table).

Note:
1)Reuben will pass the selection proposal to me by Monday, and we will see if any ammendments should be made.

2)the 6 month training plan will be given to Jian Cheng after i collaborate with Reuben on the 20th of Jan.

3)me and bert and maybe ronald will be attending the SEA Clt meeting in HQ 2molo. Anything will be posted on the Blog.

that will be all for now. anyhing else i will post up in the comments section.

basically, i find the trg todae tt there was lack of proper planning.the pt challenge took up alot of time mainly cos the specs of other stations did not co-ordinate and much time was wasted cos the specs THOUGHT that the other cadets have not finished and they jus sat there to talk cock.i had to personally help them check if the next station was ready and they could proceed on.the trg spec gave me a feeling that this pt challenge was a last min plan as in they put up on e SRO in title oni without any actual details which they were suppose to be familiar of how things should be runned.the part d were very slack todae as they were not doing their job properly like stated above..talking cock.i can understand if those having lower appoinments are indulging in these unproductive activities.but i certainly did not expect this from the ASM.i find the pt challenge can be considered a failure to a certain extent and i do not wish to comment further in details.as for the part c drill..i agree with jason that there is a significant improvement.

i agree with alex.

there's no need for a pace stick to do colours or carrying out his duites as a csm. i need the 50th to inform me asap about the next training. i will come down personally if i can. i hope to see something that meet my standards.
