Training on 4th April 2007
Training
Today was the first sea training of 2007. S/CLT Bertram, S/CLT Ronald and CLT Evan reached SSTC at about 2pm. The Part B,C,D arrived at around 2.30pm. At that time, Riverside Sec was already there. The company did warm ups and proceeded with the drawing of stores and there were some problems with the single kayaks. The Singapore Navy borrowed the kayaks and did not return it as yet and so there were not enough singles. So Riverside took 1 and we took the other. Sea training started at about 3.30pm. Strength of part C was 26/32 today. 2 Approved leave, 4AWOL. Part B and D unknown cos respective APC did not give me info.
Today's training was not productive at all because of the various reasons.

Today's training was not productive at all because of the various reasons.
- Manpower allocation was not efficient.
- Low tide was not predicted and caused injuries to cadets due to surface of the barnicles. Not a single medic was down for trg today.
- Company was very rowdy. Not taking sea trg seriously.
- Part D did not do detailling efficiently.
- Part D did not ensure discipline throughout training.
- Part D did not plan training according to their objectives..or rather they did not even have one.
- We established a last minute goal which was a changeover time of 7secs for part C and 8 secs for part B. (Average for coy was about 12secs)
Training was more or less this way. Part C were punished for disgracing unit in front of riverside. Casualty rate was within expected rate. All due to minor cuts and scratches due to barnicles.
