Quarterly SEA Clt Meeting

So sorry for th late posting. i thought that somebody will be doing the posting, but no 1 did... so i decided to post.

the meeting started at 0900hrs and ended at 1130hrs. tsung wei. bertram, ronald and i attended the meeting. it was to inform us about the major events that needs the help of Clts and to ask for our opinion on the dates of some courses to see our availability. the 50th batch also confirmed their postings. on the whole, i think the meeting was just to inform us on the happenings in HQ, nothing much. Ronald and Bertram was posted back to Maris Stella, but i was posted to Peicai as we had too many Clts. but i will still try my best to help out in Maris Stella. there was also a short presentation by the india regartta ppl which i find was irrelavent.

After the meeting, bertram, ronald and i went to bishan mac to discuss about the 6 months plan for the part Cs. we also came up with a few new methods to post the cadets to their posts and new systems to the running of the unit. further details is with ronald, i will get him to post asap but sadly till now, he do not know of the blog. so kindly add him at delta_86@hotmail.com . last but not least, the selection for the upcoming part A cadets will be conducted on the 19th of January 2006 thursday and the cadets will report for training on the 20th of January 2006 friday. the details for the selection will be given to us by reuben by 16th of January 2006 monday and i will update it on the blog.

NCC training on FRIDAY the 13th...haha

today's training was quite smooth, but it started bad. strength of parts B-28,C-17(10 went to HQ as guides), D-17(+/-). the plam for the training was that 10 part Cs were to bring the interested sec 1s to HQ for an open hse while the remaiming part B,C and Ds will be carrying out the training in skl. the plan for the training is as following :

1500hrs B+C [PT challenge]
1700hrs B+C [Drills]
1815hrs All [Dismissal]

the csm couldnt find the pace stick 10 mins before the start of the training, thus everything was dragged a little. the training offically starts at 1445hrs and ended at 1815hrs. the first activity was the PT challenge. the cadets went through a series of PT stations eg pull up, sit-up, dips, shuttle run... just to name a few. there was a total of 7 stations. there will be prizes(bottles of drinks to be given out in the next training) given out to the few individuals who held the records of each stations and the failures will be asked to join extra physical trainings on other skling days. the challenge was too long, and it dragged on till 1700hrs(a bit too long) the exercise was goot as it was something frsh for the cadets, but the part Ds had no form of recording down the the scores and a proper system to record the cadet's results so as to properly assest them. the cadets were given rest times during each station, and health taken care of. But 5 cadets form both the parts reported sick. some due to lack of meal, and some due to overstrain of muscles. this aspect of safety have to take note. the drills were not bad. partly because it was a rather short session and the cadets were much motivated, this their performance showed mark improvements. durng drills, we also had a part C cadet Gensen Yap to take charge of the part B for drills. it seems that most of the cadets are unfamilar with the full commands of stationary drills and proper procedures to be taken note by the ICs(pt to take note). the drills ended at 1750hrs and AAR was conducted by specs to the part B and the Clts to he part Cs. we had a short talk with the few part Cs and told them to motivate the others to come back for training. the pace stick is found(left in the Log rm, in some corner, i think it feww off from the table).

Note:
1)Reuben will pass the selection proposal to me by Monday, and we will see if any ammendments should be made.

2)the 6 month training plan will be given to Jian Cheng after i collaborate with Reuben on the 20th of Jan.

3)me and bert and maybe ronald will be attending the SEA Clt meeting in HQ 2molo. Anything will be posted on the Blog.

that will be all for now. anyhing else i will post up in the comments section.

AKE Meeting on 7/1/06

today, i left with yuan feng, jason, and ronald to kstc for the selection for CCG for AKE 2006. we reached there at about 1.30 but the others were already out at sea. turnout were all clts and yuan feng was the only spec there. quite pathetic. we stayed ther doing nothing for about 1 hr and jus sttended the meeting conducted by cpt oliver. meeting focused more on appointments for CCG. yuan feng and ronald will be OICs for 2 different groups of participants. jason is OIC for land party and OIC for logistics while i am OIC for admin. i tink that such appointments is a big challenge for us cos we are not experienced in this field and HOPEFULLY we could get help along the way from kok teng
