BarraCudas Revive` Trg Review 23/09/2005

2dae's trg basically started out like this:
-Colours was longer coz i put in extra takan session n asked the part c to takan.
-28 AWOLs (20/32 Part A, 20++/32 Part B, 15/31 Part C)
i did PT wi the unit, took the opportunity to observe part C in leading the unit.
-Part B discipline improving greatly, i'm amazed. Enthu and disciplined
-Part A wavering..but improving, nd more guidance.
-Part C making attempts to improve teaching styles..great improvement.
(e.g, Yihe and JianRui)
They had games.
-Fine bond-building session. Specialists against cadets.
-AAR, this rili ehh...dunno where to begin. Basically, we identified y so many part c didn't come 4 trg. Main cause-was most of them tt didn't come felt disillustrated..felt deceived, promised so much fun in NCC yet most of thr promises where nt delivered- feel betrayed and developed hatred for NCC.
-Part C expressed their opinions strongly lah regarding the usefulness of so mani clts coming down but actually getting nthing dwn, they hav feedback tt they gladly and willingly accept ani interference by clts instead of waiting til AAR-telling them their mistakes and solutions to solve it lah
-Part C do deserve some recognisation for their efforts n enthu spirit. This AAR has taught mi much. tt's more but i 4get liao, maybe darly or tw can fill in the gaps. IN any sense, i'm rather proud of the Part C.

Unit T shirts

Okay...what really happened was

they passed the money as well as their records to Mrs Goh in an envelope and Mrs Goh lost it (she claimed that the records weren't in the envelope)

either that or they didn't pass her the records at all.

the problem now is,they are unable to solicit the remaining amount from the part As.right now,they are still $347 short and nobody wants to pay up.

what i am puzzled by is....since they havnt got the complete amount frm the cadets,why did they turn their records in?

solutn? have the remaining 347 bucks 'subsidised' by the part As or by the fund.
meantime,GSH and Gerrard or Ivan Kong shld try poking around for the record.

first of all i would like to explain my reason in the canteen. i was at the start of the PT and observed the starting, which was quite smooth. THAT was y i walked over to the nearby primary sch canteen to get some drink and SAW the cadets doing it. in any case, i accept the responsibility for the standare of the cadets going dwn due to my ineffective leadership.

IN any case, from nxt trg onwards, all clts disregard the policy of interference, if we were to continue like tt, mshs ncc is gone with the wind, we have to go down n lead ourself and if we have to, come dwn hard on the cadets, knoe wat u are doing, learn frm the leading style of kenneth and ouyang, all clts pls be involved in PT and lectures and drills as well. CLTS, this is the moment barracudas need us most, we need to save it. tink abt it.

from the looks of it, ur problem is as such, after much effort on ur part, the instructors are finally beginning to take shape, unfortunately they are at the moment, only intent on getting training right. ur part As AND Bs lack discipline, yea, but onli cos they lack motivation. Its true, that the part Cs cant instruct, let alone motivate properly, but how u expect sec 3s to teach an interesting lesson? thats where CLTS come in. wat once was an all officer thing..unfortunately has befallen on YOUR shoulders.. dun u see? the officers are not coming..becos they believe in ur presence..which makes utter sense..after all, im sure u guys make a better job the the officers? how u expect them to teach wat they dunno? Ur part Cs arent gonna tekan ur cadets..and seriously..this is becoming tooo DAMN slack... wats this? go canteen and haf a meal during TRAINING? this kinda lack of discipline in UTTERLY unacceptable... U guys realise that its a whole new level here? its not jus u specs anymore...if the last trg is litat..u got a serious goddamn scourge in the unit. Looks like the onli effective and concerned people here are the CLTS huh.. guys, get together, with the specs.. they are becoming bochup when they are needed most.... if not..honestly...if this decline is persistent..we ought to shut it down..jus like the air unit b4 us...well, drastic yea..but it saves us the reputation. i'd rather we be remembered as a short lived legacy...then a coup went wrong la. My fellow CLts.i beseech u..think about this..u guys haf put much time and effort into training..all of u...but ask of urself this question...WHERE has all that effort gone? come on, there are so mani of u...but all u get are reports... im sure there are mani mani proactive things to be done...take up lecture urselves! lead PT..talk to em! screw em..URSELFS! ..ouyang, get ur ass back more often..bring ur gal along if u haf to, screw em....make them MEN...i dun wan sissies in the canteen.. kenneth, work wif ouyang..screw em TOGETHER..make it a happie screwing session, chow, hong, go to the farking ncc rm, distribute that shirt, and make it look like a damn decent room, it looks like a warehouse now..i dun care how to settle the money..jus get those shirts OUT!..and ruihong..u r right, go reshuffle the admin, get master copies from CO...work it out, u personally chew the admin spec if u haf to. Everyone, do wat u are good at..do something!!! it has become dreary..if not weary, u are all tired, bored but hey..we haf managed to pull off mani impromptu successes before, why not long term improvements? on a note, i can tell u guys to expect more shit by the closing of the year... u will all knoe why in due time..but till den...its either make it or break it..both for ur promos..and for ur men.. Whatever happened to our beloved barracudas?

Feel me on this one... the specs dun care, the officers arent there...so why should we? -becos we are wats left of the unit spirit..at least, those of the old days. Godspeed and good hunting. - WJ

review of sch trg: Sept 15

kenneth's remark tt even if he were to arm the cadets with guns, there wun even be sufficient men to storm a 7-11, that is, seriously an understatement. when i was obeserving the training ytd, i believe, if i were to increase the intensity of the heat by just a bit, u would hav saw them drop like flies...weak, i hav over 10 casualties in less within 1 hr of the trg. First of all, before colours begin, i have 2 part Bs dwn. After it jus ended, 2 part Bs plus 2 or 3 part As went trooping out of the MPC reporting sick. --incredible rite? part A discipline bad, movements laggy and attitude-wise, totally unacceptable. part B discipline wavering, movements sharp but attitude-wise maybe influenced by part A, standard starting to slacken. part C discipline moderate and attitude-wise well, i dunno wat to sae, whether they are too slack or not. lol. But i wana highlight more on the part A. I was in the canteen when PT begin, the casualties came n ate and relaxing, mostly the part As. I learned from the medic that they did not hav sufficent rest and 'wat nvr eat be4 trg' type of reasons, tt's y they were eating during PT. I looked at the casualties and honestly, they dun look unwell to mi. THEY still can chat and laugh over their meals. Well at least the part B casualties made an effort to look sick, thou i tink they aren't tt much better. PT was another matter, tommy led rather well and he's quite coordinated with his assistant PT, guo hao? I sae is quite a job well done by he. The CSM also did his job. Basically, the only complain i had with PT, was the part C, during PT, they clustered behind the cadets and discuss wat to do nxt? BUT isn't discussion supposed to be carried out BEFORE training? We hav gone through this many times with the part C but obviously, their skulls are thicker than wat we believe it to be. The part C did spread out later but i tink they jus spread out for the show of it nia, i mean i saw cadets slacking n doing the wrong wae blah blah...and the part C specialists jus walk by without seeing it or ignoring it? i dunch knoe. Even their positioning and placing around the cadets is incorrect, too concentrated and not spread enough. Lectures was even better, the Part A lecturers, all of them seriously nd more trg in oral presentation, they cadets are bored. Part B lecturers slightly better...but not much difference. Their lectures are better prepared but they can't tink out of the box, can't use models to reinforce wat they are teaching? i tink the cadets are as blur as i am when some of them taught using his hands to bring the concept over to the cadets? i being checking WHY the unit-T is STILL collecting dust in the room and the explanation was, some KOK-up in the admin in which documents that contained list of names tt hav paid up GONE with the wind, so they duno who paid up and who haven't. SO, the log spec is short of 343 bucks and hence he kindly informed mi tt he is unable to release the stocks. i seriously tink abt tt and i tink i wana reform the admin structure bah. i'm tinking of training the current admin spec to be better and more professional? in any case, no $$ and the log spec can't release the shirts, ani1 has suggestion wat to do?
